Plain-English Summary — Read This First
This section is plain language. The full legal terms govern in Sections 1–12.
Route62.fans is an Online Mall. Here is what that means for you.
Your shop, your money, your customers. You get a fully branded WooCommerce store on your own subdomain. Customers pay directly into your bank account — Route62 never touches the transaction.
5% commission, paid weekly. Every Friday you receive a commission invoice covering the past week's completed sales. You pay within 7 days. That's the fee. There is no monthly cost.
Setup fee: R2,500 base, minimum R950. The fee is reduced for every verified customer channel where you grant Route62 posting access — email list, Facebook Page, Instagram via Meta Business Manager, WhatsApp group, Telegram group, Google Business Profile, SMS database. Discounts stack.
Route62 runs the infrastructure and the marketing. Google Shopping, Meta product feeds, newsletters, and all your connected channels — managed centrally on your behalf.
You run the shop. Stock, fulfilment, shipping, customer service. Yours.
Route62 is the watchdog, not the middleman. If a shopper can't get resolution from you, Route62 goes directly to your decision-maker. We don't mediate transactions — we enforce standards.
Your customer data is managed centrally. Route62 operates a regional customer database. Customers are informed at registration. You receive every order's delivery details. Your opted-in subscriber list is yours on voluntary exit. Full detail in Section 9.
By registering as a supplier, you accept these Terms in full.

2. Nature of the Relationship
Route62.fans is an Online Mall. Route62 is NOT a payment processor, merchant of record, escrow agent, shipping provider, or party to any transaction between the Supplier and their customers.
2.1 Route62 provides platform infrastructure, traffic, marketing, and distribution services to the Supplier. The Supplier operates an independent WooCommerce store on a Route62 subdomain and transacts directly with their customers.
2.2 The Supplier is the seller of record for all transactions on their Vendor Subsite. All consumer rights, obligations, and liabilities under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 vest entirely with the Supplier, not with Route62.
2.3 Route62 does not hold, process, or release customer funds on behalf of the Supplier. Payment flows directly from the customer to the Supplier via the Supplier's chosen payment gateway.
2.4 The relationship between Route62 and the Supplier is that of independent contractor (mall operator) and tenant (vendor). Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship.
3. What Route62 Provides
3.1 Infrastructure & Hosting
- A fully configured WooCommerce vendor subsite, cloned from the Route62 template, hosted on the Route62 network (route62.fans WordPress Multisite).
- Route62 branding applied at network level. Supplier may customise their logo, banner, and brand colours within the template. Supplier may not modify theme structure, plugin configuration, or permalink settings.
- SSL certificate, server maintenance, CloudLinux/LVE resource management, and uptime management.
- CageFS filesystem isolation — each cPanel account is isolated at the filesystem level. Supplier subsite data is not accessible to other suppliers.
3.2 Onboarding & Initial Product Loading
- Initial shop setup: branding, logo, banner, town metadata, and payment gateway connection.
- Initial product loading: Route62 will load Supplier's products using assets provided via WhatsApp or agreed file transfer, with AI-assisted product descriptions and SEO content.
- Ongoing product additions remain the Supplier's responsibility via the YITH Frontend Manager dashboard. Suppliers have no WordPress backend access.
3.3 Google Shopping & Meta Product Feeds
- Route62 manages a central Google Multi-Client Account (MCA) and Meta Business Manager. Each Supplier receives a sub-account linked to their Vendor Subsite.
- Product feeds are configured during onboarding. Products will typically appear on Google Shopping within 48 hours of going live, subject to Google's approval processes.
- Route62 makes no guarantee of approval, ranking, or impression volume on third-party advertising platforms.
3.4 Multi-Channel Marketing & Broadcasting
Route62 broadcasts new products, promotions, and updates across all Connected Channels on the Supplier's behalf. Broadcasts happen when the Supplier notifies Route62 of new stock or a promotion, at no additional cost to the Supplier (except SMS — see 5.1.5).
Channels included in every broadcast (where access has been granted and verified):
- Route62 weekly email newsletter — FluentCRM broadcast to the full Route62 subscriber base, sent every Friday.
- Facebook Business Page — posted directly to the Supplier's page by Route62 as Page Editor.
- Instagram — posts scheduled via Meta Business Manager to the Supplier's Instagram feed. No Supplier login required.
- WhatsApp Group — update posted by Route62 as group admin or via broadcast.
- Telegram Group / Channel — update posted by Route62 as group or channel admin.
- Google Business Profile — product and promotion posts published to the Supplier's Google Business Profile.
- Route62 own channels — posted to Route62's own Facebook and Instagram pages, reaching the broader regional audience.
- SMS broadcast — available on request via the Route62 SMS Gateway. Charged separately at R0.30/SMS from pre-loaded Supplier credits. Not included in the standard broadcast.
3.4.1 Channels Route62 Builds on the Supplier's Behalf
Where the Supplier does not already have a channel of a type listed above (Facebook Business Page, Instagram profile, WhatsApp group, Telegram group, Google Business Profile, or an opt-in email or SMS list), Route62 may create that channel for the Supplier and immediately begin using it for the broadcasting described in this Section 3.4, on the same basis as any other channel. A channel created under this clause is a "Route62-Created Channel." See Section 4.5.1 for the applicable ownership terms and Section 11.3 for its treatment on termination.
3.5 Customer Newsletter System
Route62 operates two recurring newsletters per region:
- Town Newsletter — sent every Thursday at 14:00 SAST. Dynamic content covering promotions, weekend auctions, new products by supplier, and new suppliers in the town. Sent to all opted-in town subscribers.
- Supplier Newsletter — sent every Friday at 09:00 SAST. Sent on the Supplier's behalf from [suppliername]@route62.fans. Content submitted by the Supplier by the Thursday 10:00am cutoff. Sent to the Supplier's opted-in subscriber list only.
3.6 Commission Reporting
- A weekly Commission Invoice (PDF) generated every Friday, covering the preceding Monday–Sunday Billing Period.
- Invoice includes a Yoco payment link for immediate settlement.
- A copy of the order report is attached to each invoice.
3.7 Supplier Dashboard
- Access to the YITH Frontend Manager for stock management, pricing, product availability, order status updates, and basic image management.
- Suppliers have no access to WordPress backend, theme customiser, plugin settings, or user management.
- WooCommerce order emails are sent directly to the Supplier for each completed order, including customer contact and delivery details.
4. Supplier Obligations
4.1 Qualification & Approval
Route62 Suppliers must at all times:
- Produce, manufacture, or resell a product range that is locally sourced, made, or uniquely relevant to the Route62 region. Mass-imported generic goods are not eligible.
- Maintain an established product offering with quality control in place.
- Hold an approved payment gateway account (PayFast, Yoco, or equivalent WooCommerce-compatible provider) and a shipping solution prior to going live.
- Maintain an active customer base or community and provide Route62 with access to those channels as part of the partnership, consistent with the Connected Channels declared at onboarding.
4.2 Stock & Pricing
- Suppliers must maintain accurate stock levels on their Vendor Subsite at all times.
- The price listed at the time an order is placed is the binding price. Prices may not be altered retroactively after an order is received.
- Ready-to-ship products must be packed and handed to the courier, or made available for local pickup, within 24 hours of order placement.
- "Made to Order" products must display an accurate lead time on the product listing. Suppliers must honour stated lead times.
- Backorders are not permitted. If stock is unavailable, the product must be set to "out of stock" immediately.
4.3 Fulfilment & Shipping
- The Supplier is solely responsible for packing, shipping, and delivery of all orders.
- The Supplier sets their own shipping rates and methods on their Vendor Subsite. Customers see shipping costs at checkout.
- Incorrect parcel dimensions or weight that result in additional courier charges will be recovered from the Supplier.
- Local pickup must be actively managed. Pickup readiness must be communicated to the customer within 24 hours of order placement.
4.4 Customer Service & Returns
- The Supplier is solely responsible for all customer service, including order queries, complaints, returns, replacements, and refunds.
- The Supplier must comply fully with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including the right to return defective goods and the right to fair, honest dealings.
- Suppliers must respond to customer queries within 24 hours on business days.
- Where a customer escalates a complaint to Route62, the Supplier must engage with Route62's facilitation process promptly and in good faith (see Section 7).
- The Supplier must ensure that the person Route62 contacts for escalations is a decision-maker authorised to resolve customer complaints immediately.
4.5 Connected Channel Obligations
Where the Supplier has granted Route62 access to Connected Channels as part of the onboarding discount verification:
- The Supplier must maintain Route62's access to those channels for the duration of the supplier relationship.
- Revoking Route62's access to a Connected Channel without written notice constitutes a breach. If access is revoked, the corresponding setup fee discount may be clawed back proportionally.
- The Supplier must not misrepresent their channel size or access level at onboarding. Misrepresentation constitutes fraud and triggers immediate termination under Section 7.
4.5.1 Route62-Created Channels — Ownership
A Route62-Created Channel (Section 3.4.1) is distinct from a Connected Channel. A Connected Channel is a pre-existing Supplier asset to which the Supplier has granted Route62 access; a Route62-Created Channel is a new channel Route62 has built and populated on the Supplier's behalf where none existed. Because it did not previously belong to the Supplier, it does not qualify for any Section 5.1.1 setup fee discount, and its ownership on exit follows Section 11.3 rather than the Connected Channel rules above.
4.6 Product Taxonomy & Naming
- The Supplier must list products using the Route62 master product category taxonomy. Suppliers may not create top-level categories.
- Product names must follow the Route62 naming convention: [Product Type] — [Key Descriptor] — [Size/Volume/Weight]. This is required for cross-network pricing intelligence and search accuracy.
- Product images must be accurate, high quality (minimum 1024px width), and representative of the actual product.
4.7 Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- The Supplier is responsible for all tax obligations arising from sales on their Vendor Subsite, including VAT registration (where applicable) and income tax.
- The Supplier may not list prohibited, counterfeit, stolen, or misleadingly described goods.
- The Supplier is responsible for compliance with all applicable South African law, including but not limited to the CPA, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and POPIA.
5. Fees & Commission
5.1 Setup & Onboarding Fee
The base setup fee is R2,500 (once-off), payable before the Vendor Subsite goes live. This fee covers shop configuration, initial product loading, AI-assisted content creation, and Google Shopping / Meta feed setup. The setup fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
5.1.1 Risk-Based Discount Schedule
Route62's marketing risk is reduced where a Supplier has established customer channels and grants Route62 posting access. Suppliers who qualify receive a discount on the base setup fee. Discounts stack, subject to a minimum floor fee of R950.
| Channel | Qualifying Condition | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| Email database | 100+ subscribers, Route62 included in broadcasts | 10% |
| Facebook Business Page | 1,000+ followers, Route62 as Page Editor | 20% |
| Facebook Business Page | Under 1,000 followers, Route62 as Page Editor | 10% |
| Meta Business Manager partner, linked FB + IG | 10% | |
| WhatsApp Group | 100+ members, Route62 as admin or broadcast | 10% |
| WhatsApp Group | Under 100 members, Route62 as admin or broadcast | 15% |
| Telegram Group / Channel | 100+ members, Route62 as admin | 10% |
| Telegram Group / Channel | Under 100 members, Route62 as admin | 15% |
| Google Business Profile | Route62 has posting/management rights | 5% |
| SMS Database | 100+ contacts, Route62 SMS Gateway used | 10% |
| SMS Database | Under 100 contacts, Route62 SMS Gateway used | 15% |
5.1.2 Examples
Example A: Facebook Page (1,000+, −20%) + Instagram (−10%) + WhatsApp 150 members (−10%) = 40% discount. Setup fee: R1,500.
Example B: All of the above + Google Business Profile (−5%) + Telegram under 100 (−15%) = 70% discount. Capped at floor: R950.
5.1.3 Minimum Floor Fee
Regardless of total discount, the minimum setup fee is R950. Where stacked discounts would reduce the fee below R950, it is capped at R950.
5.1.4 Verification & Access Requirements
- Supplier provides links to all qualifying profiles and group membership numbers at application.
- Route62 access must be granted (page editor, group admin, Meta Business Partner, Google Business Profile manager) before the discounted fee is invoiced.
- SMS: supplier must register on the Route62 SMS Gateway and pre-fund a minimum opening credit balance before go-live.
- Discounts claimed but not verified within 48 hours of notification will be reversed. The balance of the standard fee becomes immediately payable.
5.1.5 SMS Broadcast Costs
SMS credits are pre-purchased at R0.30/SMS. Route62 operates a dedicated SMS Gateway profile per Supplier. Credits are non-refundable. SMS broadcast costs are invoiced separately from the weekly Commission Invoice.
5.2 Platform Commission
Route62 charges 5% (five percent) of Net Completed Sales per Billing Period.
The Supplier is solely responsible for their own payment gateway fees. These are not included in or deducted from the Route62 commission.
5.3 Optional Influencer Commission
Suppliers who opt into the Route62 Influencer network may offer influencers 5% or 10% on referred sales (Supplier's choice). This is tracked via YITH Affiliates and is in addition to the 5% platform commission. Participation is optional and must be elected at onboarding or in writing.
5.4 No Monthly Fees
Route62 charges no monthly subscription, listing, or platform access fees. Suppliers pay commission only when they make sales.
6. Billing, Payment & Suspension
6.1 Invoice Cycle
A Commission Invoice is generated every Friday covering the preceding Monday–Sunday Billing Period. The invoice is emailed to the Supplier with a Yoco payment link for immediate settlement.
6.2 Payment Terms
Payment is due within 7 (seven) calendar days of the invoice date. The Supplier is responsible for ensuring payment is received within this period regardless of whether a reminder is issued.
6.3 Progressive Suspension for Non-Payment
| Day | Trigger | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Day 5 | Invoice unpaid | Reminder notification sent to Supplier |
| Day 8 (morning) | Invoice overdue | Add to Cart removed from all products on Vendor Subsite |
| Day 14 | Still unpaid | Shop content replaced with "Shop closed for renovation" notice |
| Day 21 | Still unpaid | Shop replaced with "Shop Closed" + redirect to Route62 town page. Account review initiated. |
6.4 Reinstatement
A suspended Vendor Subsite may be reinstated upon full payment of all outstanding commission plus a reinstatement administration fee of R500. Reinstatement is at Route62's discretion and is not guaranteed after Day 21 termination.
7. Dispute Facilitation & 3-Strike Policy
7.1 Route62's Role in Disputes
Route62 is not a party to Supplier-customer transactions. However, Route62 acts as a network watchdog. Where a shopper cannot obtain resolution from a Supplier, Route62 will contact the Supplier's decision-maker directly and facilitate a fair outcome. Route62 ensures continuous communication and follow-up — it does not financially compensate shoppers on the Supplier's behalf.
Suppliers must engage with Route62's facilitation process within 24 business hours of a facilitation request. Failure to respond constitutes a breach and triggers the 3-Strike process.
7.2 3-Strike Policy
The following constitute a breach subject to the 3-Strike Policy:
- Failure to fulfil orders within the stated timeframe (3 or more stock-related cancellations)
- Failure to respond to customer queries within 24 business hours
- Failure to engage with Route62 facilitation requests within 24 business hours
- Misleading, inaccurate, or false product descriptions or images
- Retroactive price changes after an order is placed
- Listing prohibited, counterfeit, or non-compliant goods
- Misrepresentation of Connected Channel size or access at onboarding
- Any conduct that materially harms Route62's reputation or shopper trust in the network
| Strike | Trigger | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Strike 1 | First breach confirmed | Formal written warning issued |
| Strike 2 | Second breach | Listing suspended pending resolution |
| Strike 3 | Third breach | Permanent removal from Route62 network. No data export. No refund of setup fee. |
8. Product Types & Listing Rules
8.1 Ready to Ship
Products listed as Ready to Ship must be in stock and dispatched within 24 hours of order placement. Listing a product as Ready to Ship when stock is unavailable constitutes a breach.
8.2 Made to Order
Made to Order products must display an accurate, realistic lead time. Lead times must be honoured. If a delay arises, the Supplier must notify the customer within 24 hours.
8.3 Auctions
- Auctions open Fridays at 10:00 SAST and close Mondays at 22:00 SAST.
- Items must be in stock and ready to ship within 24 hours of auction close.
- Reserve prices, if set, must be disclosed at listing.
8.4 Bookings — Appointments, Rentals & Accommodation
- Real-time availability must be accurately maintained.
- Automated confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices must be configured and active.
- Cancellation policies must be clearly stated on each listing.
8.5 General Listing Rules
- Product prices must be consistent with the Supplier's normal retail price. Suppliers may not inflate prices on Route62 above their standard market price without disclosure.
- Product names must follow the Route62 naming standard (see Section 4.6).
- Product images must be accurate and high quality (minimum 1024px wide).
9. Data Privacy, Customer Information & POPIA Compliance
Route62 operates a central customer database for each regional network. This is how the platform's marketing and community value works — and it comes with clear obligations for both parties.
9.1 POPIA Role Definitions
| Data Type | Responsible Party | Route62 Access | Supplier Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer registration profile (name, email, town, login) | Route62 | Full — system owner | None |
| FluentCRM contact record & subscriber tags | Route62 | Full | Own newsletter stats only |
| WooCommerce order — delivery details | Supplier | Operator access (hosting) | Full — order emails + dashboard |
| WooCommerce order — payment confirmation | Supplier | Operator access (hosting) | Full — WooCommerce dashboard |
| Supplier newsletter subscriber list | Supplier | Sends on Supplier behalf | Via FluentCRM stats only |
| Town newsletter subscriber list | Route62 | Full | None |
| Imported draft customer list (pre-opt-in) | Supplier (temporary) | Invite sequence only | Provided by Supplier |
| Help Me Find / Wishlist requests | Route62 | Full | Count + product name only — no identities |
| Network product pricing data (aggregated) | Route62 | Full | Own products during listing only |
9.2 The Central Customer Database
Route62 operates a central marketplace database (FluentCRM) for each regional network. All customer registrations, newsletter subscriptions, and purchase history tags are stored in this database. Customers register once at route62.fans and their login works across all supplier subsites in the network.
Customers are informed at registration that their profile is stored in a central marketplace database, used for newsletter marketing and anonymised demand intelligence. They may manage their subscriptions or request data removal at any time.
9.3 The Supplier Import & Invite Process
When a Supplier joins Route62 and brings an existing customer list, the following process applies:
- Supplier provides their customer list. Route62 loads it as a draft — not added to any marketing database.
- A once-off introduction email is sent from [suppliername]@route62.fans on the Supplier's behalf, introducing their new Route62 shop.
- Customers are offered two opt-in choices via double opt-in: the Town Newsletter (Thursdays 14:00) or the Supplier Newsletter (Fridays 09:00).
- If a customer does not respond after 3 emails over 3 weeks, their details are removed from the draft and never used.
- Only customers who actively double-opt-in are added to the marketing database.
9.4 Customer Tagging & Profiling
Route62 applies tags to customer profiles based on their interactions with the network. Tags are used for personalised marketing and anonymised demand intelligence: town subscription tags, supplier referral tags, purchase tags (supplier, town, product category, product), and wishlist/demand tags.
Suppliers see only anonymised demand counts: "13 people on Route62 are looking for apricot jam." No individual identities.
9.5 What Suppliers Receive from Customer Data
The Supplier receives a WooCommerce order confirmation email for every completed order (customer name, delivery address, order contents, contact details for fulfilment), and FluentCRM newsletter statistics for their own subscriber list (open rates, click rates, subscriber count — no individual customer data).
The Supplier does not receive, and is not entitled to: the Route62 customer database or FluentCRM contact list; customer profiles, tags, or purchase history beyond their own order data; or names/contact details of Help Me Find requestors or wishlist submitters.
9.6 Data on Voluntary Exit
A Supplier who exits voluntarily and in good standing (no outstanding invoices, 14 days written notice) receives on their final day: a CSV export of their supplier newsletter subscriber list, a summary of their product catalogue, and their WooCommerce order history for accounting records.
Town newsletter subscribers and the general Route62 customer database remain with Route62.
9.7 Data on Termination for Breach
A Supplier removed under Section 7 (3-Strike Policy, Day 21 non-payment, fraud, or conduct harmful to customers) receives no customer data export.
Withholding the export is a commercial consequence directed at the Supplier. Customers' rights under POPIA are fully honoured regardless of why the Supplier was removed. Outstanding orders must still be fulfilled.
9.8 Supplier POPIA Obligations
- Maintain a current, compliant Privacy Policy on their Vendor Subsite.
- Process customer personal information only for lawful purposes under POPIA.
- Implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information.
- Report any data breach affecting customer personal information to Route62 within 24 hours of becoming aware of it.
- Not transfer personal information outside South Africa without appropriate safeguards.
- Not use customer data obtained via Route62 for purposes beyond fulfilling orders and their own existing supplier relationship.
9.9 Customer Data Rights
All customer data subject requests are handled exclusively by Route62. Suppliers are not informed of individual requests and are not involved in processing them. Customers submit requests via the POPIA removal form on route62.fans. Route62 processes requests within 21 days as required by POPIA.
10. Platform Rights & Intellectual Property
10.1 Route62 reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any Supplier for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that damages the Route62 brand or network, subject to Sections 6 and 7.
10.2 Route62 reserves the right to amend these Terms on 30 days' written notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance. A Supplier who objects may terminate under Section 11.
10.3 The Route62.fans brand, logos, and network design are the intellectual property of FAQ (Pty) Ltd. Suppliers may not reproduce or use Route62 branding outside the platform without written consent.
10.4 Product images, descriptions, and content submitted by the Supplier remain the Supplier's intellectual property. The licence to use product data for network marketing is granted for the duration of the supplier relationship and terminates on exit or removal. Route62 will remove product data from its own channels within 30 days of account closure.
10.5 Route62 does not acquire ownership of Supplier products, stock, or business assets at any point.
10.6 Route62 aggregates anonymised product pricing data across the network for market intelligence purposes. Individual supplier pricing is not attributed or disclosed to other suppliers.
11. Termination
11.1 Termination by Either Party
Either party may terminate with 14 (fourteen) days' written notice by email to the other party's registered contact address.
11.2 Termination by Route62 for Breach
Route62 may terminate immediately, without notice, in the event of:
- Strike 3 under the 3-Strike Policy (Section 7.2)
- Day 21 non-payment of commission invoices (Section 6.3)
- Fraud, misrepresentation, or conduct that poses an immediate risk to shoppers or the network
- Listing of prohibited, counterfeit, or illegal goods
- Misrepresentation of Connected Channel size or access at onboarding
11.3 Effect of Termination
- All outstanding Commission Invoices become immediately due and payable.
- The Vendor Subsite is suspended and, after 30 days, the subdomain and content are removed from the Route62 network.
- Custom domain mappings are released within 30 days of termination, subject to full payment of outstanding commissions.
- Outstanding orders placed before the termination date must still be fulfilled by the Supplier.
- Data export is provided on voluntary exit in good standing (Section 9.6). No data export on termination for breach (Section 9.7).
- The non-refundable setup fee is not returned under any termination scenario.
- Route62-Created Channels (Section 4.5.1): on voluntary exit in good standing, the Supplier may request that ownership of any Route62-Created Channel be transferred to them, subject to the transfer mechanics of the relevant platform (e.g. Meta Business Manager, WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Business Profile). Route62 will action a good-faith transfer request within 30 days. On termination for breach under Section 11.2, Route62-Created Channels are not transferred and will be deleted.
12. General Provisions
12.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
12.2 Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
12.3 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with any onboarding documentation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior agreements including Version 3.2 of these Terms.
12.4 No Waiver. Route62's failure to enforce any provision on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
12.5 Notices. All formal notices by email. Route62: legal@faq.co.za. Supplier: email provided at onboarding.
12.6 Amendments. Route62 may update these Terms at any time with 30 days' notice. Current version always published at this page.
Acceptance
By registering as a Route62.fans Supplier, listing products, or operating a Vendor Subsite, the Supplier confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
For formal onboarding, a signed copy may be requested by either party. Digital acceptance (registration, email confirmation, or product listing) is deemed equivalent to signature for the purposes of these Terms.
Common Questions
These answers are derived from the sections above and are provided for ease of reference. The full clauses govern in all cases.
What does it cost to become a Route62 supplier?
A once-off setup fee of R2,500, reduced by Connected Channel discounts to a floor of R950, plus a flat 5% commission on Net Completed Sales, invoiced every Friday. No monthly fee.
Who is the merchant of record for my sales?
You are. Route62 is not a payment processor, escrow agent, or party to the transaction. Payment flows directly from your customer to you via your own payment gateway.
How much notice do I need to give to leave?
Either party may terminate with 14 days' written notice. Route62 can terminate immediately without notice for Strike 3 under the 3-Strike Policy, Day 21 non-payment, fraud, or listing prohibited goods.
What happens to customer data if I leave?
On voluntary exit in good standing, you receive a CSV export of your supplier newsletter subscriber list, a catalogue summary, and your WooCommerce order history. No export is provided on termination for breach — though customers' own POPIA rights are always honoured directly by Route62.
What if I don't have a Facebook Page, Instagram, WhatsApp group, or email list yet?
Route62 will build the missing channel for you and start broadcasting your news, new products, and promotions through it, on the same basis as any other channel (Section 3.4.1). Because it's a new channel rather than existing reach, it doesn't reduce your setup fee. If you leave in good standing you can request ownership of any Route62-Created Channel be transferred to you (Section 11.3); on termination for breach, those channels are deleted rather than transferred.
Why don't I get cPanel or backend access?
Your Vendor Subsite runs on Route62's shared CageFS-isolated multi-tenant network. You manage stock, pricing, and orders through YITH Frontend Manager. Route62 retains administrative control of hosting, theme, and plugin configuration to protect uptime and security across every supplier on the network.
What is the 3-Strike Policy?
Strike 1: formal written warning. Strike 2: listing suspended pending resolution. Strike 3: permanent removal, no data export, no setup fee refund. Route62 can escalate straight to Strike 3 for fraud or conduct that puts shoppers at immediate risk.
